Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Nest Student Homes (neststudenthomes.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users: students, lecturers, and company representatives posting internships.

2. What Nest Student Homes Is

Nest Student Homes is an academic platform that connects Ugandan university students with tools for GPA tracking, coursework and deadline management, past papers, AI study support, peer tutoring, and internships. We are a technology platform — we are not an employer or a recruiting agency.

3. Student Accounts

To create a student account you must:

• Be a currently enrolled or recently graduated student of a Ugandan university
• Provide accurate personal information including your university and faculty
• Upload a valid student ID for identity verification

You must not: Create fake accounts or misrepresent your identity or university affiliation; Use the platform to harass, threaten, or scam other students; Submit false internship applications; Upload past papers you do not have the right to share.

4. Peer Tutoring

When booking or offering a peer tutoring session:

• Both students must be registered verified users of the platform
• Sessions are paid directly via mobile money — Nest Student Homes facilitates the booking but is not a party to the tutoring itself
• A tutor's contact number is shared with a student only after the session is paid and confirmed
• No-show and payment disputes can be flagged for our team to review
• Nest Student Homes may suspend any tutoring profile at our discretion

5. Internship Applications

When you apply for an internship through our platform:

• Your application details (name, university, faculty, year, cover note, CV) are sent directly to the company
• Nest Student Homes does not guarantee any job or internship placement
• Nest Student Homes is not responsible for the accuracy of company listings or the hiring decisions of companies
• Companies posting on our platform represent that their opportunities are genuine

6. Academic Hub

The Academic Hub is a personal tool for students to self-manage their academic records:

• All data in the Academic Hub is entered by you and is self-reported
• Unofficial transcripts generated are clearly marked as not verified by your university
• You must not use unofficial transcripts for any purpose that requires official university documentation
• Nest Student Homes is not responsible for any consequences of presenting self-reported academic data as official

7. Campus Notice Board

When posting on the campus Notice Board:

• Only post genuine announcements, events, items, and reports relevant to your university
• Posts are visible to verified students at your university and are moderated by our team
• Nest Student Homes may remove any post at our discretion

8. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use Nest Student Homes to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings of any kind
• Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other users
• Collect other users' personal information without their consent
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Scrape or reproduce platform content
• Post spam or promotional content without authorisation
• Conduct any activity that violates Ugandan law

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban.

9. Intellectual Property

All platform design, code, branding, and content created by Nest Student Homes is our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, copy, or use it without written permission.

Content you create on the platform (notice board posts, study group posts) remains yours. By posting it, you grant Nest Student Homes a licence to display it on the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nest Student Homes is a platform that connects students and third parties. We are not liable for:

• The outcome of any internship application
• The quality or results of any peer tutoring session booked through the platform
• Any loss, theft, or harm arising from connections made through the platform
• Any academic consequences arising from use of the Academic Hub
• Interruptions to the platform due to technical issues or maintenance

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ugandan courts in Kampala.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Nest Student Homes after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the platform.
